Every Australian state has different licensing requirements.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

If you have extensive building industry experience but do not hold the required qualification, you may be eligible to obtain a nationally recognised qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Visionary Training works with leading partner Registered Training Organisations to assist eligible applicants through the RPL assessment process.

Which state should I apply in?

Every applicant is different. We assess your qualifications, construction experience and documented evidence before recommending the most suitable licensing pathway.

Can I transfer my builder licence to another state?

In most cases, yes. Once your builder licence has been granted, you may be eligible to apply for an equivalent licence in another Australian jurisdiction under Australia's Mutual Recognition Scheme, subject to the receiving state's legislation and licensing requirements.

Can overseas experience be recognised?

Yes. Overseas qualifications and construction experience may be relevant. We will assess your documentation and advise whether additional Australian qualifications or evidence is required.
